Let's plant our white dwarf daffodil
0:02
bulbs. Welcome to Gardening with Ben.
0:05
And today we're going to be planting
0:06
these white dwarf daffodils. Now, we've
0:09
been doing up the top of our plot and
0:10
we've got some nice new little beds
0:13
under our arches what look absolutely
0:16
amazing. So, we're going to add some
0:19
bulbs into there to add some spring
0:20
color and hopefully make them look
0:23
absolutely glorious in springtime. We've
0:25
also got some panzas in there at the
0:27
moment. So, we're going to be adding
0:28
these daffodils. We'll also add some
0:30
crocuses as well, but we'll be planting
0:33
these daffodils today. Now, these are a
0:35
white scented mix and they've got like a
0:38
sweet smell, so they'll smell absolutely
0:40
gorgeous at the top of the pot. Fingers
0:42
crossed. And they'll also be good for
0:44
the bees when the bees wake up from
0:46
hibernation so that they can get the
0:48
nectar and the pollen that they need to
0:50
give them the energy for the year ahead.
0:53
So, we've got quite a few packets of
0:54
these. We've got about eight packets of
0:56
these. So, we're going to place them all
0:58
out. decide where we're going to put
0:59
them all and then we're going to plant
1:01
them in the ground and fingers crossed
1:03
the squirrels will leave them alone and
1:05
they'll grow and they'll look glorious
1:07
come springtime. So yeah, let's get
1:09
outside and let's get planting them. So
1:12
these are the four new beds that we're
1:14
going to be planting our daffodil bulbs
1:16
in. So yeah, we're going to get them
1:19
out, put them in position of where we
1:21
want to plant them and decide how
1:23
they're going to be spaced out. We're
1:25
going to put lots in them. So hopefully
1:26
there'll be a lot of color come the
1:28
springtime in these beds to make it look
1:33
So we've got all the daffodils placed
1:36
where we want them to place in these
1:38
four beds. So it's a case of getting our
1:41
dber and getting these buried deep so
1:44
that the squirrels don't pinch them all.
1:46
Fingers crossed they don't because I do
1:47
want a beautiful bloom up here. And
1:50
hopefully they do look nice come
1:54
So, we've got all the daffodil bulbs
1:57
planted in them. Fingers crossed the
1:58
squirrels do leave them alone and
2:01
they'll look nice come springtime and
2:04
add some color to this area along with
2:06
all the winter pansies and the climbers
2:09
which hopefully will survive the winter.
2:12
So, let me know if you're growing any of
2:14
the dwarf scented white daffodils in
2:17
your gardens or a lotments. It's a great
2:19
addition and fingers crossed they smell
2:22
absolutely gorgeous as well. So yeah, I
2:25
hope you've enjoyed that. Make sure you
2:26
do drop us a follow to stay up to date
2:28
and see them come springtime and see how
2:30
well they get on. Until next time
2:32
everyone, remember keep smiling, keep
2:34
shining and keep gardening with Ben
