Hey up everyone, it's Gardening with
0:03
Ben. Wow, what a weekend we have had
0:06
down at the aotment. It's been
0:08
absolutely phenomenal. Now, today has
0:10
been the hotter days of the two days.
0:12
It's been absolutely boiling down here.
0:13
As you probably can tell, I'm a bit red
0:15
because I've been enjoying that
0:17
sunshine. It's not often we get it these
0:19
days, but I'm I've seen that we're going
0:21
to be getting a heat wave coming up
0:23
pretty soon as well. So, make sure
0:24
you're prepared for that. So, we have
0:28
been busy down here at the plot. We have
0:30
cleared the entrance of my plot. I've
0:33
cleared a bed in front of my shed, which
0:34
I showed you in my stories. We've
0:38
cleared down the side of my plot where
0:40
my formless blackberries were growing.
0:42
So, I can actually get to the
0:43
blackberries now. I don't have to fight
0:47
And yeah, we've got a lot of
0:49
blackberries coming on them at the
0:51
moment. So, make sure you stay tuned for
0:54
my tour video and I will show you how
0:56
well they're all growing. We've done
0:58
some good harvesting as well this
0:59
weekend. If you've not seen, I've
1:01
harvested my sweet corn. I've had my
1:04
first sweet corn off. Absolutely
1:06
delicious. I cooked it in the air fryer.
1:08
Um, I sprayed it with oil, cooked it for
1:11
5 minutes, turned it round, and cooked
1:13
it for another five minutes, and it was
1:15
absolutely gorgeous. If you've not grown
1:18
sweet corn before, it's the best thing
1:20
you can grow an aotment. and it is
1:23
pretty easy. As long as you grow it in
1:24
square blocks so that it pollinates with
1:26
one another, it will grow absolutely
1:29
amazing. I've had such a good crop from
1:32
it. We've also harvested our giant
1:34
tomato, which I've still got to weigh
1:36
and share the results of how much it
1:38
actually weighs. It's I'm expecting a
1:41
big weighing from the tomato.
1:44
We're also going to be saving some seeds
1:45
from that tomato as growing tomatoes
1:49
from the seeds that you grow get better
1:51
plants because they remember the
1:53
environment, they remember the climates
1:56
and they will grow a lot stronger and a
1:58
lot better if you're growing them from
2:00
the tomato that you've grown yourself.
2:02
So, make sure you stay tuned for that.
2:04
And we'll be growing them next year.
2:06
That's if I don't lose the seeds
2:07
anywhere, but fingers crossed I'll put
2:09
them somewhere safe for next year. So,
2:12
I'm looking forward to saving them. And
2:15
yeah, it's been an absolutely amazing
2:17
weekend down here. And if I didn't have
2:20
my a lotment, I wouldn't know what I'd
2:22
do without it. And we made quite a few
2:25
videos for this week as it's National
2:27
Aotment Week coming up. So, make sure
2:29
you stay tuned for all them. And if
2:32
people can just remember to keep liking
2:34
my posts and commenting on my post, it
2:36
does help push them out because they not
2:38
always been getting pushed out much. So,
2:41
the more likes and the more comments on
2:42
them, it will help a lot. And I do reply
2:45
to all the comments as well. These days,
2:48
I'm trying to keep up with them all. So
2:50
until next time everyone remember keep
2:52
smiling, keep shining and keep gardening
