Customer Reviews

Here are some of the customer reviews on the product and their thoughts :-

  • Animal deterrent that works!
  • Living next to a nature reserve has it good side and bad side. Having way too many wildlife coming through the fences and damaging our garden. Bought this and I am not regretting it one bit. Since putting one of these at the top of the garden on the pole with high sensitivity and another one at the bottom of the garden but wall mounted with low sensitivity as its very close to the section of the garden that my children play around , we have not seen any foxes or badgers in our garden. It has five different function modes, I used Mode 5 which does all the modes from 1 to 4. Mode 1 does rodents; Mode 2 does cats and badgers, so it worked well for me to use Mode 5 ?
  • Just a heads up that that using Mode 5, you drain the batteries quickly, like around 1 week before it needs recharging again. I ended up using a long USB cable and use that to charge the batteries and make sure you cover the charging port even thou the product is waterproof (IP44). Whilst the solar charging does work, it takes a lot time to charge so I prefer the USB cable to charge.

3) Fox and Wildlife Repellent Animal Repellent Solar Powered

  • This fox deterrent can get rid of most unwanted animals by sending out an ultrasonic flashing strobe light – which will frighten of the unwanted pests.
  • This device is water proof and also weatherproof.
  • To charge the dvice it can either be done by USB or solar power. . If in doubt charge by USB to make sure it’s fully charged.
  • For humans, a part of the frequency range is audible (16 ~ 20kHz). This is no cause for concern. Please place the pet distributor as far away from the living area as possible. Do not install the unit in areas where children and babies are playing as children’s hearing is better than adults

About the product

When looking for a deterrent you are best looking for one that has a light and ultrasound. This fox deterrent has both of those so is an idea deterrent to purchase.

Customer Reviews

  • I have used this repeller for around one month and during this period, no new cat poops appeared on my flower bed so I think it does its work nicely. Normally there would be at least one cat coming to my garden from time to time and it’s really a pain and disgusting to clear the cat poop! I attached one photo where there are two cat footprints near the repeller and there is no poops around, as it happened during the night I assume the cat was scared away from it. Good job!

Customer Reviews

Here are some of the customer reviews on the product and their thoughts :-

  • At last someone has addressed the poor design of the old Jetspray model. This one has been completely re-thought, eliminating the awkward battery compartment with a pop out one and just two AA cells. Much better for quick battery replacement at the far end of the garden. The upright shape sits much more stably on the support and altogether a neater design. I bought mine about a month ago, it worked immediately and has functioned well. The fish seem happy and none have yet disappeared from a large pond on the far side of the garden. Anyone troubled by Herons should consider this new model. Too early to tell if the batteries will run down sooner, or if it can survive a frost, but users may be interested in the setup I have evolved.
  • The sprinkler sits at the pond edge so it cannot squirt folk. It is linked by a length of hose to the top of the detector which sits well back from the pond so it can respond to any movement near the water edge. I was able to mount my detector 3 feet up, looking downwards to the pond, atop an aluminium tripod which used to be part of a lawn sprinkler. Any high vantage point would serve. So the dastardly Heron has nowhere to land or creep up behind the detector. Long ago I discovered the necessity to locate the detector facing North or the movement of the sun would set it squirting particularly late in the day. Because of high mains pressure I needed a tough, builders quality hose. ordinary ones soon burst. Enjoy your pond!

Here we list the pros and cons of the product

Customer Reviews

Here are some of the customer reviews on the product and their thoughts :-

  • I was attracted to this product because it gives a 90 day money back guarantee. We have lots of cats around us and they were always in our garden messing and catching birds. So we bought one of these deterrents – now the accompanying leaflet does explain that it can take a few weeks for the cats to finally give up (hence the 90 day guarantee) and also not to be surprised if you see a cat sitting right in front of it – he will be trying a battle of wills. This actually happened, I came home to find the most troublesome cat sitting right in front of it willing it to go away! We have a medium sized garden and found that the one sensor didn’t cover the whole area, so we bought another. The results have been amazing, it did take several weeks but eventually the cats gave up. But just be aware that the deterrent needs a clear view to detect the cat, so if you have a hedge where the cats hide it wont work. It works by emitting a sound inaudible to humans birds and dogs etc – but the cats don’t like it.

Alternative methods to keep foxes out of your garden

close up photo of sleeping fox

There are many other methods to keep foxes out of your garden as a well as using the fox deterrents above. Here we list some of the alternative methods to keep those pesky foxes away:-

Don’t leave food outdoors

Do not leave any food outside that would attract the foxes. If you feed pets do not leave any food outdoors, feed them in the house. Also do not leave bin bags on the floor as foxes like to rip them open and nosy inside them

Cameras

Put wildlife cameras up in your garden. These will only start recording when something moves in the garden. This way you can see where the foxes are entering your garden. Plus you can see any other wildlife that enters your garden. You might be surprised.

Fencing

Quite an expensive method but you could put fencing up in your garden, foxes tend to just walk straight forward so if there is a fence there they will tend to walk off in another direction unless you have something tempting which smells nice.

Human Hair

Yes you read it right human hair can deter foxes. If you are that keen to stop them you can even go to the hairdressers and ask for some. The scent puts off the foxes from entering your garden. You can put it inside socks and hang them up on fencing in the garden.

Fox Repellent Human Urine

Urine deters foxes from the garden especially if it is a bigger predator than a fox. This could be your own urine or you can purchase wolf urine. Apparently from reports male urine works better. What have you got to loose after all its free.

Mirrors

This method has proven successful. Foxes are afraid of other foxes, and if they feel threatened they will leave. If they see themselves they will think it’s another fox and that they have approached there territory.

Making the soil uncomfortable

If you make the soil uncomfortable for the foxes they will not want to walk along it. You could lay chicken wire down or put pine cones down. You can also purchase strips what go down on the soil to stop foxes walking on it.

Security Lights

Putting security lights up not only protects your houses but as soon as the light flashes on it will startle the fox and scare it off.

Natural Repellents

Using natural methods can also work. Try boiling chillies and garlic together and spraying it around. The foxes will not like the scent and keep them away. You will obviously have to respray if it rains

We hope you have found these reviews for the Fox Deterrent useful. Why not purchase a Fox Deterrent to keep them away and other animals.

Vinegar Fox Repellent

You could always place small bowls of white vinegar around the garden. Foxes hate the smell of vinegar and will put them off entering your garden. If you know where they have been digging place a bowl there.

Scout Fox Repellent

Instead of buying an ultra sonic fox deterrent you could purchase some Scout Fox Repellent which is used to spread round the perimeter of the garden. It works by putting the fox off entering the garden. This is a humane way of putting them off entering.

Homemade Fox Repellent

If you want to try making your own homemade fox repellent you can with these simple ingredients:- chilli peppers, garlic and capsaicin. Boil the chilli peppers and garlic together in a pan and put the water in a spray bottle. Spray the homemade fox repellent around the garden to deter the fox from entering the garden.
