Despite having bought this a while back, we have only recently bought the hens to go in it, so haven’t thought about reviewing it. And now I look at the picture I can say that my chicken coop doesn’t actually look like the picture – it has four panels of mesh across the front, which means that the door to access the run is rather narrow for putting in the water and food and trying to persuade the hens to go to bed or whatever.
It’s reasonably well made, but I doubt it’s going to last for years as it’s fairly soft pine but seems a good starter coop and the hens seem to like it!
I would not dream of putting 5 to 8 birds in it (as suggested) – well not unless you planned on letting them all out in your garden when they weren’t in bed. 3 maybe 4?
