• Good secateurs. They are much better than the Wolf Garten general-purpose anvil secateurs (which had been my secateurs of choice for many years) and well worth the extra money. They give a good clean cut and are comfortable to use if you are going to spend all day pruning. They can cope with thicker stems than the ordinary pair.
• The only fault so far is that the blade screws came loose – a common problem with anvil secateurs. Fortunately, I noticed and found them. They were screwed back in (needs an Allen key) and tightened as much as possible and haven’t fallen out since despite many hours of use. I’m guessing they were never properly tightened by the factory – so it is worth checking a new pair. But don’t let this put you off buying them as they are easy to tighten.
