Let's plant our new pansies. Welcome to
0:03
Gardening with Ben. These are called
0:05
Topwave pansies. Now, this is quite a
0:08
new variety, the Trail. So, they're
0:10
great for hanging baskets, great for
0:12
planters. Absolutely fantastic. I've not
0:14
got any hanging baskets or planters down
0:16
here. So, I'm going to be planting them
0:17
in my border. So, hopefully they'll
0:19
spread and create a nice autumn winter
0:22
color, especially when you need it, when
0:24
there's not much color around. So, we're
0:26
going to be planting these in our border
0:28
in our entrance of a plot where we've
0:29
planted all those bulbs and hopefully
0:31
add some great color to fill in all the
0:33
gaps while it's a bit bare in there. So,
0:36
we need to get these planted. We've got
0:38
30 altogether. So, an absolutely
0:40
abundance of them. And as you can see,
0:42
they're full of flower already.
0:43
Absolutely fantastic. Now, these can
0:46
flower for months on end. As long as you
0:48
keep deadheading them, they'll keep
0:50
flowering as well. And you can also give
0:52
them a bit of feed as well to encourage
0:54
them to produce more flowers. So, we're
0:57
going to get these planted, get them in
0:58
the ground, and hopefully get some great
1:00
color in the front of our entrance plot
1:02
where we've been doing it all up. So,
1:04
let's get these planted and let's get
1:06
them all spaced out.
1:09
So, as you can see, we've got quite a
1:11
few pansies in already, what we've got
1:13
in a six-pack. So, yeah, we're going to
1:16
fill all the gaps. We're going to have
1:18
an abundance of pansies all the way
1:20
around his border to make it look
1:22
absolutely gorgeous. So, we're going to
1:24
get them all spaced out into positions
1:27
cuz that's always what I do. I always
1:28
place stuff it where I want them and
1:30
then we'll get them all planted. Some of
1:32
the bulbs are coming out already. So, we
1:34
need to get them pushed back in. Bloody
1:36
squirrels. But yeah, let's get them all
1:39
spaced out and let's get them all in
1:41
position.
1:42
So, we've placed all the pansies down
1:46
the side of our bed. So, we've spaced
1:49
them all out into positions. We've got
1:51
them down this side, and then we've got
1:53
them in twos down this side as well. So,
1:56
this entrance should look pretty
1:58
spectacular once they all get
2:00
established. So, yeah, let's get them
2:02
all planted.
2:05
So, we've now planted all our pansies
2:09
down this side and down that side. So
2:11
yeah, we've spaced them all out nicely.
2:14
So hopefully they'll start rooting and
2:17
start flowering as well. Some have got
2:19
flowers on, but some haven't. But once
2:21
they all start flowering, they'll look
2:23
pretty spectacular down this side. As
2:25
you can see, we still got plenty of
2:27
flowers on his salvia. It's looking
2:29
absolutely great at the minute. Uh it's
2:32
certainly been a nice addition to the
2:33
garden. I do love salvas. And yeah, his
2:36
borders are looking pretty good down
2:38
this entrance pot now. So hopefully once
2:41
everything's rooted, it'll look great
2:44
next year down this side and look
2:46
absolutely amazing. We've got loads
2:48
planted. Absolutely loads of bulbs down
2:50
this side as well. We've got so many
2:52
bulbs popping through as well already.
2:54
So yeah, it's going to look very, very
2:58
nice down this side.
3:00
So that is all the pansies planted now.
3:03
So, we're going to look forward to those
3:05
rooting and hopefully producing lots of
3:08
flowers all the way through autumn and
3:10
into spring as well into late spring.
3:14
They'll keep flowering and flowering,
3:16
adding some great color to that border.
3:18
Like I said, to keep them flowering,
3:20
keep deadheading them on a regular
3:22
basis. Don't let them go to seed or
3:23
they'll stop producing the flowers. You
3:25
need the flowers to keep producing so
3:28
that you get some great blooms from
3:30
them. And as I said, they're trailing as
3:32
well. So, I'm looking forward to them
3:33
spreading and hopefully filling all the
3:35
gaps in and adding some great color. The
3:37
bulbs will pop up in between them all,
3:39
adding some really great blooms as well
3:42
in springtime. So, I'm looking forward
3:44
to seeing what those look like once
3:46
they're all established. So, make sure
3:48
you do drop us a follow to stay up to
3:49
date with how well they get on and see
3:52
how well they develop as well down at
3:54
the a lotment. I do love my flowers.
3:56
Absolutely gorgeous. So until next time
3:58
everyone remember keep smiling, keep
4:00
shining and keep gardening with Ben
4:01
everyone.
