Mulled Cider for December Gatherings

  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 star anise

  • 1–2 shots of dark rum or apple brandy (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Combine cider, orange, and spices in a large saucepan.

  • 250ml water

Instructions:

  1. Simmer everything for 10 minutes.
  2. Cool, strain, and bottle.

To Serve:

  • Stir into hot or cold water, use in lemonades or as a zingy cocktail base.
