welcome to our June review yes it's at
0:03
the end of June now and here we are to
0:05
tell you how well we're getting on
0:07
throughout the June period and what
0:09
we've done and what we've harvested and
0:12
has it been successful or not so June
0:15
has been a hot month a very hot month
0:17
indeed and they're looking at possibly
0:19
getting a drought but we have been
0:21
keeping things watered keeping it
0:23
hydrated keeping things growing and
0:25
managing to keep on top of the weeds our
0:28
tomatoes are doing absolutely fantastic
0:30
they're not ripening yet but we've got
0:32
loads of tomatoes on there there's
0:34
peppers we're getting some peppers on
0:35
our plants now um the ants keep nibbling
0:38
at them which I'm not happy about my
0:40
melons they're starting to take off
0:42
they're starting to spread so fingers
0:44
crossed we get some melons this year
0:46
that is one thing that I do want to get
0:49
cooking apples absolutely fantastic
0:51
hundreds of cooking apples on my tree
0:53
this year as well as eating apples as
0:56
plums as pears all doing fantastic now
1:00
we've been harvesting our Loganberries
1:02
over the last few weeks they've been
1:04
absolutely delicious if you've not got a
1:06
Logan berry bush it's worthwhile getting
1:08
one and they'll produce fantastic fruit
1:11
on them a bit like a raspberry but
1:13
they'reless as well and absolutely
1:15
gorgeous also our red gooseberries we've
1:18
been harvesting all them they aren't
1:20
fallless unfortunately you prickle
1:22
yourself to death while you're trying to
1:23
get them but red gooseberries are
1:25
delicious they're a sweet variety the
1:27
green ones are the sour red ones are the
1:29
sweet and I prefer them red ones to the
1:32
green ones absolutely tons nicer as
1:35
lettuce we've been picking as a lettuce
1:38
it's cut and come again so we just keep
1:39
snipping some off taking it home eating
1:41
it when potatoes are coming along good
1:45
we'll be harvesting them soon we've got
1:47
a pumpkin growing a couple of pumpkins
1:49
on as plants my corettes aren't doing
1:52
well i don't know why they're not
1:54
getting corettes on them fingers crossed
1:56
we do get some they're taking a long
1:57
time to get growing but hopefully we get
2:00
some corettes off the sunflowers growing
2:03
massive i think his red ones are going
2:05
to be coming out soon so I'll be sharing
2:08
lots of photos of them when they do
2:10
start to pop open spring onion doing
2:13
absolutely fantastic i'm growing it in
2:15
bunches i'm not growing it in rows i'm
2:17
growing in bunches it's looking
2:19
absolutely fantastic and hopefully
2:22
produce some great spring onions sweet
2:25
corn absolutely massive it's growing so
2:28
well this year i'm so impressed with how
2:30
well it's actually growing so hopefully
2:32
we're going to get some massive cobs on
2:34
them but I'll keep you all updated with
2:36
how well they're getting on and how well
2:38
they're growing but overall this month
2:41
has been pretty well we've sewn some
2:43
more seeds we've sewn some beetroot
2:45
seeds some more spring onion seeds some
2:47
more pea seeds some more radishes we've
2:50
been sewing a lot this month cuz we're
2:51
wanting to keep that harvest growing all
2:53
the way through the year and getting
2:55
lots and lots of produce off so I hope
