talking about everything that we got up
2:43
to at the allotment yesterday as we had
2:45
a very busy day it was extremely busy
2:48
down at the allotment yesterday and you
2:50
probably think well it's winter you
2:51
can't be doing that much but I am I
2:54
never stop working I'm always grafting
2:57
when I'm down at the allotment and I
3:00
absolutely love it because obviously I
3:02
work 9 to5 Monday to Friday so it's good
3:04
to get out of the flat get good to get
3:06
out in the fresh air and enjoy being
3:10
down at the

3:56

3:59
weekend
4:00
well we finished tidying all my sh up as
4:03
it was an absolute Pig start I didn't
4:05
realize how much compost I must have had
4:07
in buckets old compost so I've been
4:10
shifting all that out putting it into
4:12
all my beds outside getting all that out
4:14
of my shed and I think I scooped up
4:16
about a bucket off a
4:19
carpet I did tell you I'm not a very
4:21
tiny Gardener uh but yeah it's all clean
4:24
and tidy now and ready for next year's
4:27
growing season
4:30
uh so next weekend's job we'll be
4:32
starting in tidying up the poly tunnel
4:36
which is probably worse than
4:38
maed that is a Dumping Ground I just
4:41
shove stuff in there out of the way so
4:43
that is going to take a lot of work and
4:45
a lot of clearing but we'll crack on and
4:48
hopefully get it done over two weekends
4:51
I think that'll take two weekends to get
4:53
that all clean entirely and then that'll
4:55
be another job ticked off my bucket list
4:58
of what I want to get done
5:01
so as we do these jobs we take them off
5:03
and then we know that we've got them all
5:05
done so after I've done my poly tunnel
5:07
then I'll possibly start back outside
5:09
again start getting all my beds ready
5:12
dig them over again because I've dig
5:15
them all over I've clear them all but we
5:16
might do another dig over of them all
5:19
and get rid of any weeds and roots that
5:21
are growing in them just to keep on top
5:23
of it it's good to keep doing them every
5:25
month or so so that nothing gets growing
5:28
in them and one job that I want to do is
5:31
I want to paint up all my beds and
5:33
everything and get all them ready but we
5:35
won't be able to do that possibly until
5:37
spring time when we get in the drier
5:39
days and hopefully the paint will dry
5:42
with
5:43
ease so we've done that we've pain um
5:46
we've tided all the shed up it's all
5:47
looking good there's still quite a few
5:49
repairs that I need to do to the shed uh
5:51
we need to get some purse pcks and get
5:53
the roof fixed and a side panel fixed as
5:56
well so that's a job on the list as well
6:01
so the next thing what we did we
6:03
recorded some videos we recorded
6:07
our yearly Roundup video which I'm going
6:09
to do a podcast version of as well so
6:12
make sure you stay tuned for that video
6:14
which will be dropping on New Year's Eve
6:17
and you'll also be able to see my new
6:19
Fantastic potting bedge which I've
6:21
completed and the final outcome of it
6:24
all and how well it actually looks and
6:27
you will be amazed by it trust me
6:30
but yeah I'm definitely building it up
6:32
aren't I for you
6:33
all so yeah we filmed that video we have
6:37
also started sewing some seeds yes I've
6:41
started and I'm eager to go but not too
6:45
eager uh I've only sewn the ones which
6:48
will need to be sewn now to get them a
6:50
head start so I've sewn all my onions
6:54
we've sewn them and we will be planting
6:57
them out in the ground hopefully in
6:58
April if they grow fingers crossed they
7:01
do grow because the reason why I'm
7:03
growing them early is to give them that
7:05
Head Start and hopefully get some giant
7:06
sized onions so we're starting them off
7:09
now and then hopefully be planting them
7:11
out come April
7:13
time we have planted some chilies yes
7:18
I've not done chilies for a few years so
7:20
we're going to give chilies a try again
7:22
this year and this 10 seeds in it so
7:25
hopefully they all germinate we'll see
7:27
fingers crossed and again again I've
7:30
done that the reason why with my Peppers
7:32
cuz I've also started my Peppers off
7:34
which is 150 seeds but we've not sewn
7:36
all them um is that I planted them
7:40
around March April time the seeds last
7:42
year and they were only just fruiting
7:44
come September time so I'm starting them
7:46
off now to get the plants established
7:48
and hopefully speed them up and get them
7:50
growing in advance ready for fru in
7:53
earlier because then we'll get more
7:55
produce of them which is what we want so
7:59
yeah we've sewn as onions uh peppers and
8:02
our chilies I still need to sew my Au
8:05
jeans which I'm looking at the packet
8:06
right now cuz I forgot to take it to the
8:09
alotment but yeah we still got us or
8:11
jeans to plant we're not going to plant
8:13
us Tomatoes I know most tomato packets
8:15
you'll see say January February time we
8:18
don't start our Tomatoes off till March
8:20
time they soon catch up tomato plants
8:22
that is one thing that does catch up yes
8:24
again you can start them off earlier but
8:27
make sure they don't get laggy they'll
8:28
need to be in a heated place to get them
8:30
started and plenty of light and yeah
8:33
obviously you'll get more food on them
8:34
and more season from them but we don't
8:37
start as till about March time as we
8:40
still we still get plenty off them which
8:43
is what we want so yeah we've done that
8:46
what else have we done we fed the birds
8:48
we made sure the birds were fed we fed
8:51
Mrs cat uh she always looks at me
8:54
thing is I'll feed I'll feed her when I
8:56
get that and she's always waiting on the
8:59
path to be fed and as soon as I walk
9:02
down She'll follow and she'll wait
9:04
outside the shed until I fill the ball
9:07
up I fill the ball up I go and sit in
9:09
the corner of the shed and have a coffee
9:11
uh just to get started and warmed up
9:14
she'll come in and eat it all she eats
9:16
it pretty fast uh so she's usually quite
9:19
hungry uh we feed her every day like and
9:22
obviously there'll be rats and birds
9:23
around for to catch um so she eats it up
9:28
quite fast and then she'll pop back into
9:30
the shed a few more times thinking has
9:32
he filled it up again yet has he filled
9:34
it up again yet and I'm like no I'm not
9:36
doing it more than once you'll get
9:38
enough food from this so yeah we fed the
9:42
cat and wow obviously I fill my bird
9:46
feeders up and I know we've got
9:48
squirrels down at the alotment but
9:50
yesterday I saw four squirrels in my
9:52
fruit tree all having the bird feed and
9:55
I like what mind you I don't mind the
9:58
squirrels
10:00
uh they're they're good little pets um
10:03
they do cause a bit of damage with like
10:05
the bulbs and stuff like that but I
10:08
don't mind seeing the squirrels down
10:10
there it's good to see wildlife down at
10:12
the alotment and I do encourage it which
10:15
some people wouldn't and some people
10:16
would oppose against it but I don't mind
10:19
seeing all the wildlife down there it's
10:21
great to see and it's one thing that I
10:24
always want to see more of so hopefully
10:27
we get different Wildlife down there
10:29
this year so yeah we've had a very very
10:32
busy day and because obviously I've
10:36
started my onions my peppers and my
10:38
chilies off I've brought them home
10:41
because they'll need heat to germinate
10:44
especially the chilies in the peppers
10:46
they'll need about
10:47
25° to get them germinated so it's nice
10:50
and toasty in my flat and obviously I've
10:53
got a wind so now so I'm going to pop
10:55
them on the Wind so we're going to put
10:56
cing film over them and we are hope FL
10:59
going to get them to germinate and I'll
11:02
take them back down to the alotment
11:03
around March time once they' got growing
11:07
and once they've got established but
11:09
yeah we've been busy with that and I've
11:12
started sharing little stories on
11:13
Instagram stories now and on Facebook
11:16
Stories so if you follow me on Instagram
11:18

11:20

11:22

11:24

11:28

11:30

little stories and hopefully I'll keep
11:35
it up as you know what I'm like I'll
11:37

11:39
but no hopefully if more people watch
11:42

11:44
