Planting
When sowing turnip seeds they need to be around 2cm deep. Sow them at 25cm intervals so they have plenty of room to grown and for you to keep weed free round them.
Growing
It’s good to keep turnips covered with fleece to keep them cool in the summer but in winter it protect them from the frost.
Harvesting
Turnips can grow pretty fast. They only take 6-12 weeks to be ready to harvest. If you are eating them raw pull them when they are the size of a golf ball but if you are using them to cook with pull them at the size of a tennis ball.
