( drum spigots greased before fitting handles ! not mentioned in instructions but worth doing) Filling with DRY sand is easy and bung fits securely. • Really useful bit of kit. I’m currently levelling a patch of lawn, well digging it up to remove the spear grass that years of neglect has allowed to establish. This has been invaluable in compacting the weeded, sieved and replace soil. Using it filled with water, and compacting a couple of inches depth at at time as it’s not quite heavy enough to compact deeper amounts. Possibly this would cope with deeper amounts if filled with sand, but it would be really heavy!
