- Have just assembled this – which is pretty straight-forward. Instructions are minimal, so suggest filling the barrel before assembling (I used water and a funnel – took a while!). Have yet to use in anger, but will update this once I have tried it out.
- One concern was that the joints between the roller metal and the axles were not covered in the same glossy green coating. It looked as though it might well rust there over time, so I sprayed it with silicone grease just to be safe

For price ( inc delivery) this roller and handles are made from fairly heavy steel giving a solid feel when pushing roller. Assembly is straight forward. - Really useful bit of kit. I’m currently levelling a patch of lawn, well digging it up to remove the spear grass that years of neglect has allowed to establish. This has been invaluable in compacting the weeded, sieved and replace soil. Using it filled with water, and compacting a couple of inches depth at at time as it’s not quite heavy enough to compact deeper amounts. Possibly this would cope with deeper amounts if filled with sand, but it would be really heavy!
